Auto-entrepreneur registration on anae.dz

Auto-entrepreneur registration in Algeria is done exclusively online through the official ANAE (National Agency for the Auto-Entrepreneur) portal, anae.dz. This procedure has replaced the old paper process and lets you create your status in a few steps from home.

This page details every screen, every form field, and the key points to succeed on the first try.

Logging in to anae.dz: access to your auto-entrepreneur account

You already have an account. The official login page of the ANAE portal is https://anae.dz/auth/. Enter the email address and password set during your registration to access your auto-entrepreneur area.

First login: your credentials are those created during online registration. Once your file is approved, your area gives access to your digital card and your NIF (tax identification number). Turnover tax returns are filed with the DGI via forms G12 and G12 bis.

Forgotten password: use the recovery link on the login page (https://anae.dz/auth/password/reset/request). A reset email is sent to you; remember to check the spam folder if you do not receive it.

You do not have an account yet: the sections below detail the online registration, step by step.

Before registration: preparation

  • Check eligibility: an activity present on the ANAE list and projected turnover below the legal ceiling of 5 M DZD.
  • Prepare a valid email address (verification by code) and an Algerian phone number (SMS validation).
  • Scan as PDF or high-quality photo: CNI front/back, proof of residence < 3 months, white-background identity photo, diploma if required.
  • Identify your activity precisely in the ANAE nomenclature (official list; plan a backup if your exact activity is not listed).
  • Choose your governing wilaya (where you will primarily operate).

Step 1: create your ANAE account

On anae.dz, click "Register" or "Create an account." Enter your email address and a strong password. A validation code is sent by email; enter it to activate your account.

Then validate your Algerian phone number by SMS. The ANAE account will be your access point for all future procedures: file tracking, digital card, NIF and card renewal.

Step 2: registration form

  • Identity: last name, first name, date and place of birth (exactly as on the CNI).
  • 18-digit CNI / NIN (national identification number).
  • Full residential address with wilaya postal code.
  • Activity: selection from the ANAE drop-down menu (do not type free text).
  • Sub-activity if applicable (e.g., 'IT consulting' -> 'Cybersecurity audit').
  • Governing wilaya and commune of operation.
  • Tax regime: IFU (by default) or another by option.

Step 3: uploading documents

  • CNI front (PDF or JPG format, < 2 MB, legible).
  • CNI back (same format).
  • Proof of residence (bill or lease < 3 months), in the applicant's name OR a signed proof-of-accommodation certificate.
  • Compliant identity photo: white background, uncovered face, no headgear, 35x45 mm.
  • Diploma or training certificate (if the activity requires it).
  • B3 criminal record extract (< 3 months) if the activity involves public contact.

Step 4: submission and validation

Re-read every field carefully. Once submitted, the file is locked; any correction requires a rejection then resubmission (a loss of 1-2 weeks).

Décret exécutif n° 23-197 of 25 May 2023 (art. 17) sets a maximum of three (3) working days to process the national register application, counted from the filing date. That period belongs to the ANAE. You will receive either: (a) an approval with your auto-entrepreneur number (NAE), (b) a correction request with a specific reason, (c) a definitive rejection with justification.

Step 5: collecting the card

After approval, you receive an SMS and an email with your NAE. Two options to retrieve the card:

(A) Digital version: direct download from your anae.dz area, sufficient for most uses.

(B) Physical version: collection at the ANAE office of your wilaya with the original CNI.

Within 10 days of issuance, you must register with CASNOS (a mandatory social security requirement for the self-employed).

After registration: your obligations

  • Turnover declaration to the DGI via form G12 (provisional return) then G12 bis (final return), even if turnover is zero.
  • Payment of the IFU (Single Flat-Rate Tax) at 0.5% of turnover for all auto-entrepreneur activities (uniform since the 2024 Finance Act, art. 282sexies CIDTA). Minimum 10 000 DZD/year.
  • Annual CASNOS contribution: 24 000 DZD (special auto-entrepreneur flat rate, an exception reserved for auto-entrepreneurs, the most common default choice).
  • Keeping a simplified revenue ledger.
  • The auto-entrepreneur card runs for five (5) years (décret exécutif n° 23-196 of 25 May 2023, art. 5); renewal goes through the portal.
