Sahla connects people in Algiers with tradespeople across six service lines: cleaning, grounds and gardens, archiving, security, childcare and small repairs. The company does not present itself as a directory but as the intermediary that picks the tradesperson, negotiates the quote on the client's behalf and supervises the job.

We designed and built the first version of the interface. Every page is rendered on the server, so its content is there before any JavaScript runs, and the site exists in three complete editions: French, Arabic and English. The Arabic one is a genuine right to left edition, declared as such in the page, with a mirrored layout and locale number formatting.

• A tradesperson directory where two filters combine, trade and neighbourhood, with sorting, a live result count and a clear message when the combination returns nothing.
• A page per tradesperson: trade, area covered, hourly rate, years in the job, and a link to a neighbouring profile.
• Six service pages, each with its pricing grid, what is included, and an FAQ written with native HTML elements, so it reads even with JavaScript off.
• A booking form whose summary panel recalculates the total live when you change the service.

ICA guides Algerian applicants through immigration procedures, with a dedicated page per destination. The site is its public front and its entry point: it is where an applicant reads the programme that concerns them and gets in touch.

We built the presentation site. It exists in three complete editions, French, English and Arabic, with a language switcher on every page. The text is in the HTML before any JavaScript runs, so a search engine and a screen reader read it without depending on the browser.

• One page per destination programme, each with its own reading thread from start to finish.
• A FAQ written with native HTML elements: seven disclosure blocks that open even if the JavaScript never loads.
• Three complete editions and a language switcher, Arabic included.
• Contact taken straight from the page, with no intermediate step.

Outsource Algeria connects Algerian software engineers with American companies: developers apply and sit an assessment, companies search profiles and track their hiring. The product is aimed at an American buyer and it is entirely in English.

The marketing page, rendered on the server, and the front of the application behind it: account creation that splits into two paths depending on whether the visitor is a developer or a company hiring, the sign in screen, and the access control that sends any address requested without being signed in back to the sign in page.

• Not one image on the marketing page: the animations, the vignettes and the icons are drawn in CSS and SVG.
• The page text is in the HTML before any JavaScript runs, so a search engine can read it.
• An entry screen that asks who you are first, then a sign up form validated field by field.
• Reserved pages send you back to the sign in screen instead of opening.

Type a word and the site searches inside the text of 2,003 issues of the Algerian Journal officiel, from 2002 to 2026, which is 50,361 legal texts cut into 172,261 retrieval units. Results are ranked by relevance with a BM25 score, not by date. Misspell a word and the engine offers you the right spelling.

There is no search server anywhere. The whole index, 89,896 distinct words, is split into 1,024 static files and the browser downloads only the fragments that match what you typed.

The index of 5,288 issues published across 65 years, with 10,413 links to the official PDF files on joradp.dz. Every link was verified one by one against the source before publication, and the index is republished as open data under CC BY 4.0.

This part is collection and automated verification work, not layout work. It is the kind of processing chain a data migration project actually needs. The link opens 1962, the first year covered, so the depth of the archive is not left as a number.

A search engine over the 2,136 activity codes of the Algerian trade register. It ignores accents, finds a word in the middle of a label, understands words in any order, and folds the writing variants of Arabic script (hamza, ta marbuta, tatweel) so a query typed in Arabic lands. Type digits and it matches on the code prefix. Every code has its own page, with its supervising authority and its legal references, and two codes can be compared side by side.

The index loads only once you start typing, never when the page opens. That discipline is the difference between a tool that answers and a tool that crawls on an Algerian connection.

You enter an income, it computes the contribution due and the applicable floor, and it explains why that floor is the one it uses rather than the older figure still shown elsewhere. It is not a spreadsheet put online: the rules are written in code from the regulatory texts, and the calculator names the decree it stands on.

Turning a legal rule into code without getting it wrong, then showing the reader where it came from, is exactly the work a payroll, invoicing or filing product demands.

The same principle applied to the IFU: the rate used, the auto-entrepreneur case, the CASNOS base and the total are each shown separately, with the tax code article alongside and the warning that fires when you cross the threshold, rather than a single number out of a black box.

A calculation that shows its work is a calculation a client can challenge, and therefore correct. That is our default position on anything involving numbers.

The datasets we assembled are published as CSV and PDF under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, with their provenance, their update date and their exact scope written out in plain words.

Publishing data with its provenance forces you to know where it came from. That rigour is what separates a clean data import from one that poisons a database for years.

Arabic here is not a translation dropped onto a French layout. The whole interface flips: the layout, the column order, the directional icons, the reading order of tables. The search tools work there too, with the specifics of Arabic script handled.
