Algerian Official Journal index 1962-2026: 5,288 issues as CSV
Verified inventory of the issues of the Journal officiel de la République algérienne démocratique et populaire indexed from 1962 to 2026: 5,288 issues and 10,413 links to the official PDFs (5,287 French, 5,126 Arabic), each checked one by one against joradp.dz. A reference index of 12,870 legal text references mapped back to the issue that carries them, 2002 to 2026, comes with it.
What the file holds, and what you should know about it
In the file
- The 5,288 issues indexed from 1962 to 2026, by year and issue number. No year is missing, and no year skips a number.
- 10,413 direct links to the PDFs on joradp.dz: 5,287 French, 5,126 Arabic.
- The verified existence of each edition, French and Arabic, issue by issue, in two columns you can filter on.
Limits to know
- This is an index of issues, not a text corpus. The file carries no publication date, no table of contents, no article title and no subject classification.
- Issues before 2002 are scanned images. Measured, not assumed: the files tested from 1965 to 2001 yield zero characters. You can read them, you cannot search them.
- The Arabic edition is a separate publication, not a translation. The same issue number does not necessarily carry the same texts in both editions.
- There is no Arabic edition at all for 1962 and 1963, and 1964 has none from issue 65 onward. Arabic is only complete from 1965.
- We do not host the PDFs. They belong to the Secrétariat général du Gouvernement: if joradp.dz moves or withdraws a file, the link breaks and nothing on our side repairs it.
- The CSV was probed on 2026-08-03 and stops at issue 57 of 2026. The Journal officiel has kept appearing since: the newer issues are not in this file, but our archive pages track them and link the official PDF on joradp.dz.
- The two files do not stop at the same issue. The reference index runs further than the CSV, to issue 62 of 2026: join them on (year, issue) and 5 issues in the JSON will have no match in the CSV.

Methodology & sources
Every issue and every edition was tested one by one against joradp.dz, one request per issue and per edition, on 2026-08-03. An issue enters the index only if the server answered with a PDF: nothing is inferred from the shape of the URLs. The edition_fr and edition_ar columns carry the result of that test. The file holds 162 issues with no Arabic edition and exactly one with no French edition; re-checked on 2026-08-25, the Arabic edition of issue 1 of 1962 and the French edition of issue 75 of 1973 do answer 404 at the publisher. The PDFs are published by the Secrétariat général du Gouvernement on joradp.dz: we link them directly, we do not host them and we do not redistribute them. The CC BY 4.0 licence covers the index, never the state's files.
