What is the CACI in Algeria?

The CACI (Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) is the umbrella body of the regional chambers of commerce. It represents the interests of economic operators, issues certificates and exporter cards, and organises economic missions abroad.

How do you join your local chamber of commerce?

Through the wilaya chamber where your registered office is located, with: copy of the trade register, NIF, articles of association, CASNOS/CNAS certificate and membership form. The annual fee is modest (2 000 to 10 000 DZD depending on size).

What is the CACI exporter card?

A mandatory document for any export operation from Algeria. It is issued by the CACI after registration and on proof of an export activity. It is valid for 2 years and renewable.

Which documents are needed for an exporter card?

Signed application, copy of the trade register showing the export activity, DGI tax certificate, up to date CASNOS/CNAS certificate, articles of association, and proof of an activity compatible with exporting.

What does the exporter card cost and how long does it take?

Around 5 000 DZD in fees. The average timeline is 10 to 15 days if the file is complete. In practice, allow 1 month between the initial filing and actual collection.

Does the CACI offer training?

Yes. Short courses in international commercial law, incoterms, foreign trade techniques and company accounting. Subsidised rates apply for member SMEs.

What is the difference between CACI and ALGEX?

CACI provides consular representation and business services, and issues the exporter card. ALGEX is the export promotion agency that supports the development of foreign markets. The two are complementary.
