Website design and development in Algeria
A professional presentation website in Algeria costs from 250,000 DA at UpGrowth, and a single-page landing page from 50,000 DA, with the firm price coming out of the cahier des charges. We design, build and ship websites for companies operating in Algeria: presentation sites, content sites built for search, sites in French, Arabic and English, and rebuilds of an existing site. The domain, the hosting and the source code stay in your name, and you hold the credentials from the day it goes live.
1. What breaks a website in Algeria
The problem is rarely how it looks. This is what we find most often when a company calls us to take over a site that brings them nothing.
Nobody can find it
The site exists but shows up on no search. Usually it was never submitted to Google, it has no sitemap, every page shares the same title, and the text is locked inside images that nothing can read.
It is slow on a phone
It was judged on a desktop screen with a good connection. On a phone, with uncompressed photos and heavy fonts, the page takes several seconds to appear and the visitor has already left.
The owner cannot change anything
Changing a phone number or a price means calling the developer back. A few months later what is displayed is no longer true, and the site itself becomes the problem.
It exists in one language only
Part of your customers read Arabic. An Arabic edition is not a translation pasted into the same template: it reads right to left, forms and tables mirror, dates and numbers follow their own convention.
The hosting expires with nobody watching
Domain and hosting renew on a fixed date. When the reminder address belongs to a former provider, the site disappears one morning, and the domain name can be picked up by somebody else.
The provider left with the credentials
The domain is registered in their name, the hosting sits on their account, the code was never handed over. You own nothing, and changing provider means rebuilding from scratch.
2. The sites we build
Five needs keep coming back, and they share neither the same content nor the same cost. Scoping exists to settle which one is yours before a single screen is drawn.
Presentation site
- Who you are, what you sell, how to reach you
- One page per line of business rather than one page about everything
- A contact form that lands in an inbox you actually read
- An address and opening hours that match your business listing
Content site built for search
- One page per question your customers really type
- Titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data
- Text written to be read, not written to fill a page
- Position tracking in Search Console once it is live
Site in French, Arabic and English
- One address per language, not a button that translates on the fly
- Mirrored layout for Arabic, forms and tables included
- Language tags so the engine serves the right edition
- Content written in each language, not run through a machine
Client area or private section
- Accounts, sign-in and roles matching each job
- Documents, quotes or invoices made available to the client
- Forms that write to a database, not to an e-mail
- A bridge to your internal tools where they exist
Rebuild of an existing site
- Keeping what already works instead of starting over
- Redirects so the pages that already rank are not lost
- Recovering the domain and the credentials when they sit elsewhere
- Bringing the phone display back up to standard
3. What going live actually includes
A website is not just pages. These are the pieces that must exist on the day it goes live. We write them into the quote rather than discovering them afterwards.
- The domain name, registered in your company's name
- The hosting, with the certificate that shows the padlock and a renewal date you know
- The professional e-mail addresses attached to the domain
- The agreed pages, each with its own title and its own description
- The sitemap and the robots file, declared in Google Search Console
- Audience measurement, installed and checked with you
- The forms, tested all the way to the inbox, not just to the confirmation message
- Display checked on a real phone, not only on a desktop screen
- The credentials handed over one by one, together with the source code
4. Who owns what, written down
This is the question that costs the most when it gets asked too late. Our rule fits in one sentence: everything that carries your business is in your name, and you hold the credentials from the day it goes live.
The domain name
Registered in your company's name, with your own details as the renewal contact. If yours currently sits in somebody else's name, recovering it becomes step one of the project.
The hosting
On an account that belongs to you, whose renewal date you know. We can administer it for you, we do not hold it in your place.
The code and the content
The source code and the texts are handed to you. You can pass the work to somebody else without having to rebuild anything.
The measurement accounts
Search Console and audience measurement are created on your account and we are invited into them. The other way round is exactly what produces orphaned sites.
What we keep
Nothing that stops you leaving. If we stop working together, you keep a working site and the means to change it.
5. How a project runs
The sequence is always the same. Each step ends with something you validate, so the next one does not start on a misunderstanding.
1. Scoping
Who the site is for, what the visitor must be able to do, which languages, which content already exists and which still has to be written. That is where the scope is settled.
2. Structure and content
The list of pages, one by one, with what each must say. This is where the project is won or lost: a site rarely drags because of code, almost always because content never arrives.
3. Design
You see the screens before they are built, on a phone and on a desktop. A comment costs far less here than after integration.
4. Build and integration
Pages are built, forms wired, languages set up. You follow progress on a staging address instead of waiting for the end.
5. Acceptance with you
You go through the site on your own phone and your own connection. Fixes happen before it goes live, not after.
6. Go live and handover
Domain, hosting, certificate, sitemap, Search Console, audience measurement. Then the credentials are handed over, with a walkthrough so you can edit your own text without us.
6. How the price is built
Our floor for a professional site is 250,000 DA, and what follows explains what moves it, because the same word covers a five page site and a hundred and fifty page site in three languages. What we can publish is what moves the quote. Read this list before comparing two proposals: two prices only compare on the same scope.
| Service | Published floor | Maximum delivery | What that floor covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | 50,000 DA | 24 hours | A single page. |
| Professional presentation site | 250,000 DA | 1 week | Structure worked out with you, mockup approved before development, pages built to measure, working forms, full go-live with domain, hosting, certificate, sitemap and Search Console, then handover of the accounts. |
| Each amount is a floor and each delivery time a maximum for the scope described on the same row. The firm price and the firm delivery date come out of the cahier des charges: on a very specific development neither the price nor the time has a ceiling. | |||
- The number of distinct templates, far more than the number of pages: ten pages that look alike cost less than three pages that do not
- The number of languages, and whether the Arabic and English content is supplied or has to be written
- Who writes the text and who supplies the photographs
- Whether there is a client area, a sign-in or a database
- Connections to your existing tools, where there are any
- Taking over an existing site and its redirect plan, which is a job in its own right
- What you want us to keep an eye on after launch, and what you would rather handle yourself
The yearly domain and hosting fees are costs in your name, not a margin hidden inside our quote. We tell you what they cost at the chosen provider before committing to them.

The best demonstration we can give is the site you are reading. upgrowth.dz is not a brochure: it is an application we designed, built and shipped ourselves. Every item below opens from this page and can be tested in seconds.
We publish no revenue figure and no testimonial. What we publish are addresses you can open, including the client sites gathered on our portfolio page.
Demonstrations you can drive yourself
These applications are demonstrations we built, not client projects. Open them and try to catch them out.
Is your project really a mobile app?
If the tool has to live on your teams' or your customers' phones, and possibly work with no network at all, that is a different page and a different scoping conversation.
8. Frequent questions
How much does a website cost in Algeria?
A single-page landing page starts at 50,000 DA. A professional presentation site starts at 250,000 DA: structure worked out with you, mockup approved before development, pages built to measure rather than filled into a bought template, working forms, full go-live with domain, hosting, certificate, sitemap and Search Console, then handover of the accounts. That floor is a floor, not an estimate of your project: what moves it is listed above, and the firm quote comes after scoping. We do not go below it because below it there is no mockup and no worked content, only a filled-in template.
Who owns the domain and the hosting?
You do. The domain is registered in your company's name and the hosting opened on an account that belongs to you. We can administer them, we do not hold them in your place. If your current domain sits in somebody else's name, recovering it becomes step one of the project.
Can I edit my website content myself?
Yes, and it is decided at scoping. We agree together on what you want to be able to change without us, then the walkthrough happens when the credentials are handed over. A site its owner cannot update becomes wrong within months.
Do I really need an Arabic version?
That depends on your customers, not on a rule. If part of your clientele reads Arabic, a full Arabic edition beats an automatic translation button: it has its own address, its own right to left layout, and a search engine can serve it to the right person.
How long does it take to build a website?
A landing page is delivered within 24 hours and a professional presentation site within one week, both maximums for the scope described in our price table. That schedule depends above all on one thing at your end: how fast your content and images reach us. The firm date comes out of the cahier des charges, and on a very specific development it has no ceiling.
Is Google SEO included in the website build?
The foundations are: a clean address per page, distinct titles and descriptions, a declared sitemap, fast display on a phone, structured data. A position on a given query is not something anyone can promise. It depends on what is published over time and on what your competitors do. Be wary of anyone promising you a first place.
WordPress or a custom built website: which one?
Both make sense, and the choice is made at scoping depending on who will update the site and what it has to do. We settle it in front of you, with the reasons, rather than imposing the tool we happen to prefer.
What if I want to change provider later?
You leave with the domain, the hosting, the source code and the content. That is exactly why everything is put in your name from day one.
