Online tax payment in Algeria : what the DGI Jibayatic guide and leaflet explain
The DGI has published a guide and leaflet on online payment through Jibaya'tic, by bank transfer or CIB or Edahabia card.
In short
In August 2026 the DGI published a guide and a leaflet on online payment through the Jibaya'tic portal. Online payment is compulsory for taxpayers under the DGE and voluntary for those under the CDI, CPI and tax inspections. Two means are offered: bank transfer and CIB or Edahabia card.
Key points
- Online payment is compulsory for taxpayers under the DGE
- It is voluntary for taxpayers of the CDI, CPI and tax inspections
- Two means: bank transfer or CIB or Edahabia card
- Only tax return obligations can be paid online
- A rejected transfer cannot be retried online: go to the tax collection office
What the guide says
The guide from the Direction Générale des Impôts presents online payment (télépaiement) of taxes, duties and charges on the Jibaya'tic portal. Any tax, duty or charge declared online on the portal can be paid online.
The service is available 7j/7j and 24h/24, with no need to visit the tax collection counters.
Who is concerned
Whether payment is compulsory or voluntary depends on the tax office the taxpayer belongs to.
- DGE: online payment is compulsory.
- CDI (réel and simplified regimes): voluntary.
- CPI (IFU): voluntary.
- Tax inspections (réel, réel simplifié, IFU): voluntary.
Requirements and payment means
A taxpayer needs a device with internet access and a Jibaya'tic account. The login and password are handed over in a sealed envelope by the tax office. An accountant can act for clients with a legal mandate filed with the tax office.
The portal offers two payment options.
- Bank transfer: accounts at BNA, CPA, BDL, BADR and BEA, with the RIB communicated beforehand. One account per declaration.
- CIB or Edahabia card: redirection to the card payment platform. Partial payment is possible.
- Once sent, the declaration is final and the payment notice is displayed.
Follow-up, rejections and limits
A transfer shows the status « Virement en cours ». The account is updated by J+1 ouvrable at the latest. The receipt carries a QR code to check its authenticity.
The system lists 17 rejection cases. After a rejection, no new online attempt is possible: the taxpayer goes to the tax collection office or asks the collector to relaunch the payment.
Online payment covers only tax return obligations, not tax debts or amounts left to be collected.
