  • As part of the public service missions, the opera is responsible for:
  • Promote and disseminate lyrical, choreographic and orchestral works by making them available to a wide audience;
  • To produce and co-produce lyrical, choreographic and orchestral works on behalf of the State;
  • To create a documentary background on the lyrical, choreographic and orchestral heritage;
  • Participate in the selection and training of young talents who, by the originality and innovative character of their works, can integrate the artistic activities of opera;
  • Participate in training in technical occupations related to the performing arts;
  • To initiate and maintain cooperation and exchanges with similar cultural institutions;
  • To participate in the organisation of colloquiums and conferences and in any study or research relating to its object (in accordance with the provisions of Articles 06,07, 08 of Executive Decree No. 16-206 of 25 July 2016, establishing the opera d'Alger and establishing its organisation and operation).
