• The functions of the Chamber are:
• The Chamber is an area of consultation and coordination for economic operators, enabling them to contribute to the formalisation of a national strategy aimed at diversifying and valuing the national product and strengthening the balance and development of the economic fabric.
• To undertake any action aimed at the promotion and development of the various sectors of the national economy and their expansion;
• To provide the public authorities, at their request or on its own initiative, with advice, suggestions and recommendations on issues and concerns affecting the trade, industry and services sectors;
• To work on a national map on the location of economic operators according to the nature of their activities;
• Contribute to the identification and designation of the branches of the productive industries and to the mapping of the national product;
• To organise consultation between its members;
• Carry out any action of common interest for the wilaya chambers and encourage local initiatives;
• Organise or participate in the organisation of meetings, economic events, fairs, symposia and study days;
• Represent its members to the public authorities and appoint representatives to the national bodies for consultation and consultation;
• Publish and disseminate all publications, articles and magazines relevant to its purpose;
• To undertake socio-economic studies in conjunction with its purpose and necessary for carrying out its work;
• Collect, exploit and disseminate economic data;
• Contribute to the moralization of commercial activity;
• Propose any measures relating to the implementation of projects at the level of the wilaya chambers, including innovative projects;
• Propose any measures to promote foreign trade and access to international markets;

• To ensure the representation of Algeria in economic demonstrations abroad;
• To strengthen the promotion and development of trade with foreign countries in relation to relevant institutions

How to start this activity in Algeria

Official procedure, ordering of steps, and realistic timelines

1. Step 1: Obtain the licence from the competent authority

   The activity "Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Caci)" is regulated. You must first build an accreditation file with the supervisory authority (articles, qualification proof, premises eligibility) before any CNRC registration.

2. Step 2: Company incorporation (LLC, single-member LLC or sole proprietorship)

   Once you hold the licence, sign the articles at the notary, declare the share capital, then request the company name + Trade Register at CNRC. For a heavy licence, a SARL/EURL is usually required over the auto-entrepreneur regime.

3. Step 3: Tax and social registrations

   With your trade register in hand, obtain the NIF (tax ID), NIS (social security ID for the manager), CNAS affiliation for employees, and the tax card. Your activity "Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Caci)" can then start lawfully.
