  • The Office is responsible for all the lissions linked to its objectives as defined by the provisions of Executive Decree No 98-381 of 1 December 1998, Executive Decree No 14-70 of 10 February 2014 and Executive Decree No 18-213 of 2 August 2018 referred to above.
  • The Office is responsible for wakfs, as follows:
  • *under the public service:
  • The development of programmes for the exploitation, development and investment of Wakf goods, in coordination with the Ministry responsible;
  • The creation of a Wakf goods database accessible to investment and development.
  • *under commercial activity:
  • The rental of Wakf premises for residential use, with the exception of units of periodicity function;
  • The carrying out of any business activities and services in the course of its missions.
  • *as a contribution to the revival and encouragement of the Wakfs movement:
  • The creation of the Elmabarat and the Wakf charitable foundations;
  • *under the information activity:
  • Take all measures to raise awareness among citizens in order to promote the charitable will within the "El Ouma";
  • *to encourage scientific research:
  • Encourage and support scientific studies and research activities, including those related to its missions;
  • The Office is responsible for:
  • *under the public service:
  • The distribution of zakat according to its spending channels set by the Islamic Shariah, in order to contribute to solidarity and social compassion;
  • *under the contribution to socio-economic development:
  • Support and support young people in their projects and micro-enterprises, while monitoring them, in coordination with the bodies and institutions concerned;
  • * As part of the scientific and information activity:
  • Participate in the conduct of information and awareness campaigns on zakat, in coordination with the guardianship;
  • The Office shall perform the function of public service in accordance with the requirements of the specification setting out the public service requirements annexed to this Decree.
  • In the performance of its tasks, the Office may, in accordance with the legislation and regulations in force: -exceed any contract, and conclude any agreement or agreement relating to its tasks with national and international institutions.(and All the tasks stipulated in Articles 6,7,8,9 and 10 of Executive Decree No. 21-179 of 3 May 2021 establishing the National Office of Wakf and Zakat and establishing its status).
