Activity contents

• The establishment is responsible for:
• It shall ensure the dissemination and transmission, in Algeria and abroad, by all appropriate technical means, of the programmes of public service establishments as well as those of bodies authorised to use the public domain;
• It shall carry out a public broadcasting service mission within the national territory and abroad, in accordance with the requirements of the attached public service specifications and the annual specifications laid down by order of the Minister responsible for communication;
• It provides training and development of personnel related to its missions to specialised bodies;
• Television broadcasting:
• The transmission of radio and TV programmes from the broadcasting studios of authorized operators and TV and radio broadcasting centres on the one hand and satellites on the other;
• In terms of spectrum management:
• The establishment shall draw up the technical plan for the distribution of frequencies in the bands allocated to sound broadcasting and television, in accordance with the legislation and regulations in force;
• Security:
• Ensure the security, protection and monitoring of television broadcasting sites throughout the national territory;
• With regard to the development of the audiovisual communication industry:
• It participates in the preparation and implementation of the State's industrial policy on audiovisual communication techniques;
• In international cooperation:
• It participates in the representation, in the field of its competence, of the public service of sound and television broadcasting in national and international bodies dealing with audiovisual communication;
• It may also conclude any contract or agreement designed to strengthen its financial resources necessary for the performance of its tasks (and all the tasks stipulated in Articles 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Executive Decree No. 12-212 of 9 May 2012, laying down the status of the public broadcasting establishment of Algeria.

1. Step 1: Choose the right legal form

   The activity "Public broadcasting establishment" is free, no prior licence needed. Choose between auto-entrepreneur (ANAE, 5M DZD/year cap for services), sole-trader, single-member LLC (EURL) or LLC (SARL) depending on your project and number of partners.

2. Step 2: CNRC registration

   For SARL/EURL: notarised articles + share capital. For sole trader or auto-entrepreneur: simplified file. In every case, request the company name then the Trade Register extract from CNRC.

   3 to 7 days

3. Step 3: Tax and social registrations

   Tax ID (NIF), social ID (NIS for manager), CNAS affiliation if employees, tax card. You can immediately operate "Public broadcasting establishment" in Algeria without any further ministry-level step.
