  • The Algerian Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture shall have the following tasks:* to submit to the Fisheries Authority proposals and opinions relating to the development of fishing and aquaculture activities and to make its contribution to the implementation of all actions and programmes aimed at the promotion and development of these activities;* to provide the Fisheries Authority with any information, study or evaluation on matters relating to the sector;* to publish and disseminate any publication relating to its tasks;* to establish relations and undertake cooperation actions and exchanges with foreign organizations of the same nature or pursuing the same objectives after the advice of the Minister responsible for fisheries;* to accede, after the agreement of the Minister responsible for fisheries, to international organizations of the same nature or pursuing the same objectives;* to accede to international organizations of the same nature or pursuing the same objectives; *to bring its members closer to the institutions and bodies involved in the production, financing, supply, distribution, marketing and processing of fishery and aquaculture products;*to organise and develop all forms of consultation, coordination, mutualisation and information between its members;*to initiate and contribute, within the framework of the regulations in force, to training, further training and retraining activities for the benefit of professionals in fisheries and aquaculture;*to promote and defend the socio-professional interests of its members, in particular in the field of social protection and occupational medicine (Articles 07 and 07a of Executive Decree No 14-331 of 27 November 2014, amending and supplementing Executive Decree No 02-304 of 21 Rajab 1423 corresponding to 28 September 2002 laying down the organisation, operation and tasks of the National Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture).
