- The establishment of geographical information systems and the creation of a databank related to its field of activity;
- The preparation of urban land monitoring and observation studies and indicators of the state of the land market and its trends, which can anticipate any saturation or trend of expansion for planning new human settlements.
- *As part of the implementation of the land strategy and the tasks entrusted to it, the Agency is responsible for establishing a land portfolio for the State through:
- The mobilization of land under the private domain of the State intended or provided for urbanization;
- Implementation of the demarcation of land intervention areas for projects of national or general interest and of public utility in accordance with existing legislation and regulations.
- *The Agency, in its capacity as landowner, is empowered to:
- Managing land promotion and urban land development operations on behalf of the State for the implementation of operations defined in the multiannual programmes of assistance;
- Make available to the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency the economic urban land portfolio to be developed, in accordance with the legislation and regulations in force;
- Carry out the work on the development of economic urban land mobilized and/or acquired by the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency.
